Forensic Laboratories Develops First Oral Fluid Test for Ethyl Sulfate Detection


Denver-based toxicology laboratory introduces oral assay measuring alcohol exposure

DENVER (August 5, 2010) – Forensic Laboratories, a Denver-based laboratory specializing in toxicology services for drug and alcohol abuse, has announced the expansion of its oral fluid testing capabilities. The company is the first lab in the nation to develop an analytical test capable of detecting Ethyl Sulfate (EtS) in saliva, a chemical produced by the body after alcohol exposure. Forensic Laboratories’ new test method will also simultaneously detect Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG).

DENVER (April 28, 2010) – Forensic Laboratories, a Denver-based laboratory specializing in toxicology services for drug abuse, has been named one of 50 Colorado Companies to Watch for 2010. Forensic Laboratories Develops First Oral Fluid Test for Tapentadol


Denver-based toxicology laboratory first to introduce quantitative oral assay for new FDA-approved drug

DENVER (March 15, 2010) – Forensic Laboratories, a Denver-based laboratory specializing in toxicology services for drug abuse, has unveiled the first oral fluid test for Tapentadol, a new federally approved drug prescribed by doctors for pain management. Previously, laboratories could only detect the drug through urine using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry-mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) technology.

Forensic Laboratories Expands Denver Headquarters


Denver-based toxicology laboratory more than doubles office and lab space to 17,000 square foot

DENVER (March 31, 2009) – Forensic Laboratories, a Denver-based toxicology laboratory specializing in toxicology services for drug abuse and compliance, announced today it has expanded its office and lab space from 7,200 to 17,000 square feet.

The company, located in the Denver Northeast Industrial Market near I-70 and Havana, has leased the space adjacent to its existing location. Forensic Laboratories is in its 23rd year of operation overall and 10th year under new ownership. They currently have 33 employees, including 14 lab technicians.

DENVER (Jan. 29, 2009) – Forensic Laboratories, a Denver-based toxicology laboratory specializing in toxicology services for drug abuse, has unveiled a new technology product allowing pain management specialists to test orally for therapeutic drug monitoring. Forensic Laboratories is the nation’s first toxicology lab to develop the oral fluid testing technology for the pain management market.
