Dr. James Ruth has a B.S. in Chemistry with Honors from the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Northwestern University. Dr. James Ruth is a Diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Toxicology and is the State of Colorados only Board Certified Forensic Toxicologist.

Dr. James Ruth started as the Assistant Professor, Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy and then went on to be the Associate Professor, and currently is the Professor at the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy. Dr. Ruth has 30 years experience in teaching and providing research for new technologies. He has authored and co-authored numerous publication articles and is considered one of the forefront toxicology experts in the Country.

Mrs. Peggy Emmett has a B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and Denver Medical Center, M.A. in Biology, Specialty Genetics and Immunology, University of California, Santa Barbara, and University of Colorado, Denver and Medical Center.

Mrs. Emmett has over 30 years of Professional Experience as a Medical Technologist. She has held positions from a Medical Technologist (Teaching Technologist) to Chief Lab Technologist. Mrs. Peggy Emmett is a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Mr. Dwain Irvan has a B.S. in Biology from Murray State University, Murray, KY and attended Methodist Hospital School of Medical Technology; Memphis TN. Mr. Irvan is certified by the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) and by the State of Tennessee as a Medical Technologist.

Mr. Irvan has over 18 years of Professional Experience as a Senior Scientist and Confirmation Laboratory Manager for companies such as: Corning Clinical Laboratory, Aegis Laboratories, and LabOne (Formerly Northwest Toxicology). Mr. Irvans specialties include GC/MS instrumentation, method development, validation and implementation. His tenure includes the development of numerous assays including hair and oral fluid analysis, steroid, medical examiner and medical professional profiles.

Mr. Jeffrey Slater attended Colorado State University and studied Business Administration. Mr. Slater has 17 years of experience in Executive Management emphasizing in Quality and Process Improvement. Measuring quality and striving for excellence in the fields of chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, molecular and R&D markets are Mr. Slaters core objectives.

Mr. Slater serves in the capacity of Vice President of Operations with an emphasis on creating new and more-efficient standard operating procedures. Mr. Slater oversees general business operations, including but not limited to the areas of chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and R&D. Mr. Slater is responsible for ensuring superior quality for testing systems developed and used by Forensic Laboratories.

Mr. Michael Gates is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and studied Information Systems Management. Mr. Gates has over 16 years of experience in Medical Sales & Marketing having held positions of increased responsibility with well known Medical Companies and Toxicology Laboratories. Mr. Gates background also consists of Venture Capital and Private Placements; and, has been instrumental with corporate acquisitions and company IPOs.

Mr. Gates serves as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Forensic Laboratories. Mr. Gates is responsible for market and technology research leading to expanded laboratory, product distribution and strategic partnerships opportunities within the Toxicology markets. Mr. Gates also oversees Forensic Laboratories comprehensive offering of innovative technology programs that are designed to help agencies increase their efficiency and profitability while decreasing capital expenditures.
